Returning Artworks To Their Place Of Origin
Over the last century, artworks created in Worpswede have gradually dispersed into private collections, estates, galleries, museums and institutions throughout Germany and across the world.
Many now exist far away from the landscape, community and cultural environment that originally inspired their creation.
Village Gallery is launching a long-term initiative designed to reconnect these works with their place of origin
